OIL BURNER SERVICE AGREEMENT GENERAL CONDITIONS:
-
Residential coverage only: We offer our service plans only for personal residences whose heating systems qualify for coverage.
-
Pre-inspection: We require your heating system to be in satisfactory operating condition before coverage goes into effect. We reserve the right to have a service technician inspect and test your system to determine if it qualifies for coverage. We will not charge you for this inspection. If you request us to rehabilitate your heating system so it meets our minimum standard for Service Plan coverage, we will charge you our regular price for both parts and labor.
-
Modern equipment only: Your heating system must be of modern, high-pressure type design utilizing non-metric parts. Lo-pressure and rotary type burners, including G.E. and Timken are not eligible for coverage.
-
Early notification required: You agree that you will notify us no later than 12 hours after the onset of any defect or failure of your heating system, or Plan Coverage will not apply.
-
Annual maintenance call: Once per year, we will clean your furnace or boiler and clean and tune your oil burner. We will do this only by appointment and only during our normal business hours. Your right to this maintenance call expires at the end of each coverage year. We will issue no credit for its value if not performed nor will we carry over this rate to any subsequent year. It is your responsibility to contact us within 30 days of the time you receive your bill to arrange an appointment for this important service.
-
Length of coverage: All Service Plans will be in effect from June 1 to May 31 of the following year. To ensure continuing coverage, Coastline fuel Inc. will bill subsequent plans during their anniversary month unless first canceled by either party. The terms, extent of coverage, and the price of subsequent Plans is subject to change. You agree to be bound by such changes until you cancel coverage. We reserve the right to cancel or suspend Plans if you do not purchase all your heating fuel from Coastline Fuel Inc.; if your heating system becomes obsolescent, or if you neglected to keep non-covered parts of your heating system in good repair.
-
Payment: Payment is due, in full, within 30 days after we bill you for any Service Plan. If payment is not made within that time period, we reserve the right to cancel your Plan and bill you for any parts or services that we provided to you under the Plan.
-
Limited refunds: We do not offer our Service Plans on a pro-rata basis. We will not refund any of the cost of your Plan after it has been in effect for 90 days or if we have provided you with any parts or services whatsoever while your Plan was in effect.
-
After hour coverage: Services performed after normal hours (8:00AM to 4:00PM Monday-Friday) are billed at prevailing rates. An $80 travel and diagnostic fee will apply to all service calls performed after hours, weekends and holidays.
*Coastline fuel Inc. will not be responsible for damage or delay resulting from fire, flood, storm, accident, labor difficulty, power interruption, acts of God, or other causes beyond our control.
DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS
Any account over 30 days is considered delinquent. Oil deliveries and Service Plans will be suspended or put on a C.O.D. basis until the account is current.
